After a week of yucky weather we finally had a nice day. We drove to the Down Valley Park and hiked up the trail across the river from the park. It was a lot warmer than we thought and it was quite muddy as well. The views were nice, I hear. I, of course, slept the whole way.

My new friend, Charlie
Today we drove to Grand Junction, before heading home, so I could meet Charlie and Mommy could see her good friend, Annie. Charlie was so friendly to me. I really liked his smile. I hope to see him again soon.
Canyonlands National Park
Thats my Daddy. |
On Monday, April 15, the weather was dreary and rainy and cold so we loaded up the car and went for a drive in Canyonlands National Park. We went into the northern entrance which is called Island in the Sky. I slept the whole time, so Mommy and Daddy took lots of pictures for me. They promised to take me back when I can climb on all the rocks and hike the trails with them.

If you look carefully, Mommy, Rudy, Teddy, and I are sitting on the rocks. |
On Sunday, April 14, our whole family drove to Moab to spend a few days in the sun. We planned to do a few hikes and stroll the streets of Moab. Unfortunately we got one day of sun and the rest were rainy and cold. When we arrived we checked into the Red Rock Lodge and then headed to the Corona Arch Trailhead. It was late afternoon but it was still quite warm. We made it as far as the slick rock steps and thats where we had to stop. They weren't really steps, it was more like a ladder. Daddy could take me, Mommy could carry Teddy, but poor Rudy just couldn't make it up. So we climbed back down and found a place on the rocks where I had a snack while Daddy went and explored a little. We could at least see Corona Arch from where we sat. There were crazy people swinging from it! It was just nice to be soaking in the warm sun.
